What make you choose Ferrara rather than another city? Are you happy with this decision?
I have researched volunteering at schools in cities in Italy and I like how is organized.
What impressed you about school organizations?
I'm very impressed with the teachrs, the students and the staff. Everybody has been very professional, wonderful friendly kind people.
What the america schools system like? If you were a student, witch one would you choose? The American or the Italian one?
Well, that's an interesting question. In my opinion, after being here, for almost three weeks, I think you'll maybe get a better education here, so if I were looking for the best education I might come in this school. If I were less career focused, i might them go to America. But that's my opinion.
Are the high school in the USA specializing as well as the Italian one?
No, virtually no specializations, they have a couple of classes, so you create your own specializations with the course that you would like to take.
So in America, as a student, if you want to specialize to a specify topic, you need to go to the university?
Well, in the high school in the USA you might take more science, more math, or maybe more letterature, more history, but they aren't separated high schools to focus on things like they are here.
How are you going in this school? Are you enjoying the class, the students?
I really enjoy the kids, as I say earlier, the entire staff, everybody has been wonderful. I think I'll probably received far more from this experience than maybe from the kids that I'll help in the USA, but it's been a really wonderful experience.
You'll noticed some different between the Italian and the American students?
MH, you know, i would say that first year students, they're behaviour are very similar (that's the age, i think), but i think the entire atmosphere reminds me a little bit more of my first or second year in university than high schools in the USA. It just seems to be more mature.
